Here I am again. I mentioned I did list a couple of things, but I need to show the pictures for you to see, right? These are 1968 & 1969 Frankoma Christmas plates that were never used! The woman who collected them never used them, never hung them, and had them stored. I got them about 2 yrs ago from her estate sale. She was a collector of all collectors, and she is missed too. Upon me getting these, I talked with a family member. We feel that these were bought from the old Rexall Drug Store that use to be in Sheldon, IA when the collector had worked there. I had 2 of the 1967 plates, but those have already sold. I have a small stack here of the years, and will keep listing them a lil at a time. They are sooo much better in person than I could picture, or describe them too. I did find them in my KOVELS' price book of 2007 I have the 39th edition. In there the 1968 plate is valued from $39 - $60. The 1969 plate is valued at $30. Course, that goes according o the condition too. But, these little ladies are worth it! Some of the plates I have even come with a lil paper/note explaining some things with it, the name of the plate, and etc. In my stack I found 1 or 2 of the plates still have their original sticker on them too! What a treasure these were to get, and now am parting with them to share with you! Stop by bonanzle, and check them out. Tomorrow night I think I will have them listed to j4ua.com then. Good Evening Everyone! Well, Halloween is over, and here comes Thanksgiving! Don't you just love this time of year? It is fall, the leaves changing, the grass changing, season is changing & you can feel it too:) These are not colors I show in my home, but I sure do like them when I see pictures with them, or in someone else's home too. Well, so far am surviving this week. Today spent time cleaning out computer a bit, researched a few things, and then later tonight I did get a couple of things listed to www.bonanzle.com/booths/LilacsNDreams Another place I have also been listing at, it is a new one, they are still growing, and that is www.j4ua.com Odd name, huh? It stands for Just For You Auctions...I thought that was neat. Couple of guys that were power sellers at ebay figured they needed something different, and this is what they have started. Still all new, working through things together with everyone that registers, but they really have been great so far too. My store name there...well, you know what it is:) That's right...LilacsNDreams....wouldn't have it any other way!:) Hope everyone having a great evening & tomorrow will be a beautiful day! So, since I am still up & it is 12:43 a.m. my time...Good Morning!! Looking at the calendar we really don't have much time left before Christmas do we? Hmm...the days will be going faster now. The end of this week already Halloween! Where has the time been going? I know I have been busy with trying to work with all the internet market places I am at. I keep posting a lil more to each place everyday, and moving things around a bit. I listed 3 things at www.LilacsNDreams.etsy.com I figured I might try that a bit. Then, I have listed 5? things with www.LilacsNDreams.artfire.com At the same time I have been growing my list with www.Lilacs-N-Dreams.ecrater.com I have 51-54 items listed with www.bonanzle.com/booths/LilacsNDreams --this place is really starting to pop up lately with auctionbytes.com & examiner.com had a couple of articles done from the owner/founder of this sight. Then, last, but not least I broke down and listed some things again with ebay.com and there it is just plain old lilacsndreams is my ID name there. It is the holidays, gonna list everywhere I can right now, and by January when things slow down a lil bit I can look things over. By then I can hopefully see a lil bit of where I am doing better at. At bonanzle.com I have also got my second booth I am working on right now. Got the name picked out, got my banner & avatar on there, just filled out for the google checkout there, and now I need to get some pics done from inventory here, and get listing in that booth too. I am hoping to keep in this 2nd booth just things like linens, table cloths, table runners, doilies, pillows, throws, blankets, etc. Just some of the more simple things that work great with many decors such as the country look, your cottage look, the chic, the retro, and etc. You know what I mean:) Well bloggers, it is now quiet upstairs:) My son brought a kitty home from work cuz it was sitting outside the door there, whining, and hung there all night. He gave it some food, and will take it to the vet on the way to school tomorrow. Boy who wants to be tough, trying to do the right things with the way things are in life, graduates this year, but still has a really big heart...hope he never loses that!:) Ok, I am off to bed now....a lil earlier tonight anyway:) Ya'll have a great morning! Hello everyone! Hope your week has started off well for many of you! Today I spent time in my office taking things out, rearraging it from side to side, brought in an old sewing maching from the garage that I am now using as a desk-put the printer on top of it, and put some shipping tapes & printer inks into the drawers, I am using my grandmother's old utility cart to set treasures on that I have been listing for sale, etc. Still looks kind of full in here, but so much more organized & the middle of the floor is open that I can at least spin in it now:) After doing that I sat down to the computer & have been here all day like many times prior to this too. Researching, reading things, reading posts & opinions of people, checking on all of my emails, and of course checking to see if things have sold yet. I did get a few pictures taken for some more listings I would like to do too. I have 52 items listed at www.bonanzle.com/booths/LilacsNDreams I have also listed 5 things to www.Lilacs-N-Dreams.ecrater.com Now, for tonight...keep in mind...I am signed up with quite a few places, just not using all of them yet, or not knowing if I will. But, tonight I did list 3 things to www.LilacsNDreams.etsy.com and within a couple of hrs I have already gotten a few views on 3 of my items there. WOW! Tomorrow I have more of the same vintage dinnerware set I am listing, and want to lightly wash those pieces, and get pics of them to post more into Etsy. They are a really neat place there that sells things Hand Made, but they also sell vintage items there, and some supplies are allowed to be sold there too. Every site is always scarey to list there, learn the ropes again, but with etsy it wasn't too bad. I got thru it ok, and if I can, well then...others can too!:) Well, everyone, it is getting late, and doctor says I need to work on changing my schedule more so I fall asleep sooner, and not be awake all night. Happy Hump Day to all Bloggers! Hope the week has been great for all of you so far! How has the weather been in your neck of the woods? Feeling like Halloween yet? It has been cold, snow, rainy, and dreary for us around here. Makes me want to move where it's a lil warmer, and snow could happen sometimes. Weather definitely has something to do with the moods that we all have for the day also, don't you think? Thanks to this weather I just have not felt like doing much of anything the past couple of days. I have listed oh about 3-4 things since Sunday, but just been feelin blah thanks to the weather. :-) Selling has been slow for me, and I hope with the holidays that it will soon pick up a lil bit. I know others have been feeling the same, and everyone at www.bonanzle.com has been really swell to work with there, talk to there, share things with there, and etc. Was curious about anyone else who sells at different venues how things have been for you with those sites? What the heck, Hump Day always kind of does a mood thing with ya too, don't it? :-) About 2 1/2 more wks and it will be Halloween. I hope the weather is good for many to celebrate, and for us here as I would really LUV to see our grand daughter trick or treatin this yr. She's at that really cute age that it becomes fun, and makes us all feel like kids again:-) Well, I suppose I should head back to bonanzle & try to get something done. Excuse me, am so very sorry everyone:( I didn't realize I had been away from here for a week now. I have stopped in to read & check on things, but never left a note for anyone. Sorry. Stayed busy buying a few things from fellow bonanzlers at their booths, have attended a few live auctions with some of them, and enjoyed my time visiting with all too. I did get about 3 items listed, but am working on more. Have delicately lightly cleaned a few things, and waiting on them to dry & take a few more pics to show everyone. Everyone ready for the goblins, witches, ghosts & all the lil scarey critters we get for Halloween? I usually decorate a lot for all the holidays, but have fallen behind for Halloween. Busy contending with car problems, and family. Nothing serious, just another stepping stone in life is all. I did visit a few more lovely blog spots today & so enjoy reading what others have to say, looking at their pictures, and learning many things from many people too. Thank you everyone for sharing your stories, your experiences, what venues you are selling with or can be found at, your websites, and etc.

Ok, I have had some help with this from fellow bonanzlers & am still hitting some dead ends. This is the Charlie Chaplin plate that I am researching. I have even gone to where the company site was...or at least thought it was. They sent me onto another place...Hmmmm. Bubbles Inc is numbered # E108, and is a 1st Edition too. The maker of this plate does have his signature on the back of it. This plate is still in new condition & the only thing that shows any kind of wear is when I was removing it from the styrofoam...fighting with it should I say? & pulling some of the tape back that had this all sealed together inside. As you can see it is a plate that is ready to hang OR comes with the plate holder to use for a sitting display too. How unique that the cover for this plate is a tin that is the shape of a movie reel. He is well known for his silent movies being the 1st film star. His films are history. I see many posters, figurines, post cards, and etc being sold for him. But, I cannot find anything with this plate. If it is that hard to find, maybe it would be a gold mine to a collector too. What do you thing? Any suggestions? If you have any ideas on where to look I am open to more suggestions as I have been trying what I know & what others have chipped in on too. Good Evening fellow bloggers & hope it has been a good night for ya'll too:) Today I stayed busy with research...looking for some info on a Charlie Chaplin plate I have & having a hard time with it. I was fortunate to have many people from Bonanzle trying to help me, giving suggestions, and some of them understood what I was saying when they too could not find this particular item I have been looking for. I worked on researching more venues today & tonight...since I am hooked up with facebook, a fellow bonanzler had commented on the Market Place there. They had noted something there & not long after that they got lucky & it sold. So, silly me went to the same place & how neat it is! Not just for sellers, but also buyers, and maybe you have something you just want to give away. It all works there. I seen someone noting how they sell Avon & how to contact them. So, lots of possibilities there. Get a chance ya'll should check it out. Well, we are officially into the month of October...when it cools down more (depending where you live) the leaves change colors, football games, hot chocolate, and of course Halloween too:) I need to drag some things out this weekend for that occasion. Grand Daughter would like that very much to see those things. So young (3 1/2) and full of life & so much to explore too:) Well, I have many things to get done yet & gonna spend all day with hubby tomorrow moving the lil camper to his new site where they will be working. wow! Last day of the month! Where did the time go, right? Well, I was not as productive as I had intended to be today..I only got 1 thing listed to bonanzle. But, tomorrow is another day & tonight I will spend time researching different items I have pictured so that I do not have to spend time with that tomorrow & can just post them. WHEW! There is really a lot of work that goes into selling on the internet which I don't think some realize. Or, it is more extensive then what one would think. As long as I can make a sale, clean house a lil more, make hubby happy with cleaning house, then I can make more room to go get more things to sell again. I Luv hunting for treasures! Gives me a chance to travel around a bit & meet new & interesting people too:)

Hello Bloggers! Today is Tues & where has the time gone already?! WHEW! Sadly, today has been lazy day for me. I have been doin a lil more research about venues for selling at. Many places I research, visit, etc a lot of the sellers have their own websites & 1,2,3 different venues they are listing at too. Makes me feel lazy & I like I really haven't gotten too much done. I have good intentions of listing all the time, but when I sit down to the computer lately I have been doing a lot of research. Oh, yeah, I also visit a lot of the blogs too. Some of them are just gorgeous, and they are so informative too. Many keep their blogs updated, and some post once in a while. Everyone has their own pace & way of doing things, right? Yesterday & today I received items from my 1st auction I had attended at www.Bonanzle.com in the booth of www.bonanzle.com/booths/starshinin Fabulous pcs, nicely wrapped & came to me securely and in a timely fashion too. Should check her out later today/tonight as she is running another bonanza & they are fun & some great people there too!
Fall is coming, the weather is changing, it is starting to cool a bit. At night it really has been getting cooler & during the day isn't too bad yet. Hopefully can get my son's senior pictures finished off today. It would be nice so I have time to sort thru the pics & decide what will work to be turned in for the year book, and etc. Also, while we can still get outside to finish them too:)
If anyone has any comments on any other venues I should check on for selling I would be interested. I am signed up with Bonanzle.com, eCrater.com, and Etsy.com. I have been considering a website, but just do not know enough about that to know what is good, bad, what to look for, what websites all include, and etc. Still researching that one. Good Day Everyone! :) Hope ya'll are having a good weekend...mine hasn't been too bad. I haven't really gotten anything done like I wanted to, but that is ok. There is always tomorrow, and it will get done sometime, right?:) Making more friends at Bonanzle which I am enjoying very much & have been having fun there too:) Excellent atmosphere for shopping & for selling!. If you are not a seller people need to keep in mind there is actually quite a bit of work that goes into selling all the wonderful treasures to everyone on line. It is like having a physical store, you worry about the appearance of your pics, the coloring, the pricing, is it a needed item at the time, the customer service that will be provided to all customers, the shipping, and etc.
Everyone has their preference on the shipping they use, and their charges for it. Let's face it, shipping with the postal service has gotten a bit higher like many other things with our economy. Some like to use the shipping calculator..which that still can be a bit off sometimes on the different sights, some use UPS for shipping, and some use USPS. Unless otherwise stated I use USPS Priority Mail for shipment of all items myself. Also, I do not use a shipping calculator, but a flat rate that I calculate with my scale I have at home, and when I weigh I include everything...the bubble wrap, peanuts if they are used, any filler used, invoices, and etc. After weighing that all out, then I go thru the copies of charts I have & spend time to calculate what is a reasonable shipping price to apply. I get as close as I can cuz taping the box & the shipping labels can still make a difference. I get very frustrated with different sellers when I do see they are over charging for the shipping & no where is it stated they charge a handling fee. To use the bubble wraps, peanuts, tapes, print outs, fragile stamps, & etc can get a lil costly for a seller. IF I would happen to drastically over chg on the shipping I do reimburse that to the customers. But, many times I usually pay the overage which is at my expense.
Another issue I don't think a lot of people realize is the time that is spent researching all the treasures that are being sold by many. In researching I mean, the values of items. Looking them up on the internet, or maybe you have some of your own collectors books to use for this aspect. Then, looking thru the internet to see if any others are listed, are they selling, what price are they selling at, can you meet the price & what is being offered for shipping some where else? Or, can you offer a better deal then the next, and etc. I know a lot of people assume that a seller just takes the pics, posts it to the public & slaps a price on there. But, there are MANY of us who do all the extra work with research.
When I am posting items for sale, I try to put myself in the place of the buyer & treat it like that. I too am also a buyer like many who sell. So, everytime I list something I keep in mind how it looks to others, if it would be appealing in how it was presented, keep my descriptions as short as possible, but still informative. Make sure I note as much as possible in sizes, measurements, truthful conditions, if there are any flaws, etc. The more I can tell you right away, the less you have to question OR try to contact me about. And, if there are flaws to show them in my pictures along with noting if there is a makers mark, stickers, and etc for identification to the items being offered. Keep in mind that I sell only things that I would be proud to display in my own home...Hubby says no more, but I still would:)

Good Morning everyone! For me it has been an early morning. Woke up early & have not been able to sleep. What better things to do than get on the computer, right? Gives me time to try & stay caught up with everything. Been into a lot of things this morning, looking at a lot of things, and a person can always learn something new. That I have been doing. I got pics of a couple of items from yesterday that I would like get posted onto Bonanzle. Since I found some things I didn't know I had, I will have to work a lil harder to these things posted as I have more boxes to go thru, and have to go thru some things in the basment too:) After looking at many blogs this morning, looking at different seller, and etc I almost feel lazy:( There are some people out there who really stay busy, and it looks so good on their sites too! If I can just stay focused I know I can get there too. Well, don't really have a whole lot to talk about right now.
