Anchor Hocking Glass Company Bubble Pattern 1937 to 1965.

When listing treasures that are found by thrifting, yard sales, flea markets, estate sales, and etc I often research before listing them. I like to see how popular others listing same item at the time, read in my books for information if I have one to help, and a lot of research is done online with other sellers of like items. My passions are with vintage, collectibles, glassware, reused, repurposed, recreating, and things like that.
This item Anchor Hocking Milk Glass Bubble Pattern Bowl is listed with my store at Artfire. Here is a little bit of research that I was able to find on it. Collectors are calling this pattern "Bubble". I have also seen it referenced as Bullseye, and Provincial too. Anchor Hocking Glass Company which is of Lancaster, Ohio first produced this pattern in 1937.
There are different Bubble colors for different years which are:
1937 - crystal, forest green, sapphire blue
1959 - white milk glass
1963 - pink which was in a very limited number, and the royal ruby
There is also iridescent which is rare, vitrock, amber and other hocking colors
The exceedingly, orbicular bubbles have managed to be timeless in blending as well as with today's decorating themes as they did when they were first issued.

After spending most of the week researching this Fenton Blue Opalescent Grape and Cable Bowl, and there were many others who also assisted with the research of this unique piece, I have finally listed this bowl for sale with my shop at Artfire. Most pieces of the Fenton Grape and Cable pattern are seen in the carnival glass. This is one piece that is not carnival glass, is not iridized for the carnival glass, and thought maybe to have gotten out the door of production before the marigold spray had been added to this for the carnival look. Or, could it have been a small experimental run with Fenton on this piece, and color? No one knows for sure, at least that has been found this far.
Many books, many authors, many researchers interpretations adds to the charm of this beautiful piece that words, and pictures cannot do justice to. Got some beautiful glass ware I am offering. We plan on moving, and it is time to down size things here. Plus, I am scared to move some of this glassware, and have something happen to it too. I prefer it goes to a home safely from me, then to travel with movers:)
Been spoiled with the warmer days we had because t is cold out now...ugh! But, that doesn't stop me from keeping busy with my stores, and trying to get more inventory into them. The usual you know, pictures, measuring, weighing, researching...that is where a lot of time is spent is doing this. I do have a Fenton bowl I hope to be listing soon. Been researching that most of the week, and unusual piece I have not found anywhere else yet. I have ideas of the history, and can explain things with that. Just need a little more knowledge to feel comfortable listing it:)
